David Guetta Invites Fans to Collaborate on Soccer Tournament Anthem

Electric dance music star David Guetta wants to get as many true soccer aficionados involved in the making of the official anthem for the UEFA EURO 2016, which will be held in France next year.

The international DJ is ecstatic the tournament will take place in his native country, and he wants the soccer fans at the "heart" of the track.

''I'm so excited to be working with UEFA on this project in my home country," Guetta said in a statement. "UEFA EURO 2016 is all about the fans, and I want to put them at the heart of everything, especially the music. So I'm trying something very special and asking fans around the world to celebrate this festival of football by being part of the Official Song.''

In an interview with BANG Showbiz, Guetta, 48, said: ''I have this record I did for UEFA. That is crazy; it is a big honor for me representing my country.''

Guetta, who catapulted to stardom with "Titanium," which was featured on the soundtrack of the movie Pitch Perfect, has started writing and producing the song. The DJ will play football anthem live at the opening and closing ceremonies of the tournament at the Stade de France at the Champ de Mars underneath the Eiffel Tower.

Fans who wish to join Guetta in this project can get on board by visiting www.euro2016.com/davidguetta to record.

The DJ will then mix and layer the recordings of the fans into the anthem titled, "This One's For You," which will be officially released in spring of 2016.
