Rumors are flying that Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian will soon be getting a divorce. In a new article from TMZ, the gossip site alleges that there are no cheating or drug use clauses in the couple’s prenup. While this is likely to speed up the divorce process for the celebrities, reports indicate that the break up has been placed on hold, as Khloe reportedly fears that Lamar will commit suicide if they separate.
It has not been a great year for the Kardashians. Not only is longtime couple Bruce and Kris Jenner calling it quits, but Khloe and Lamar appear to be following suit.
Over the summer, several major tabloids ran articles accusing the NBA star of cheating on his socialite wife. One publication even ran an in depth interview with one of his alleged mistresses. After taking a comprehensive lie detector test, it was revealed that she was being truthful.
This has lead many to claim that Khloe will be receiving a gigantic payday. TMZ, however, has refuted these claims:
“Khloe is waiting for the right time to make her move, and when she does the divorce will go without a hitch. That's because the prenup keeps the assets of Khloe and Lamar separate...There are stories floating around that there's an "infidelity clause" in the prenup, giving Khloe more money if Lamar had cheated. All of our sources make it clear -- NO SUCH CLAUSE is in the prenup.”
Of course, just because the divorce may go smoothly doesn’t mean Khloe is ready to act. Despite being ready to call it quits, Khloe is allegedly holding off on filing the paperwork.
According to OK!, Kardashian fears that a divorce would cause the NBA player to overdose. The gossip magazine quotes an alleged insider as saying:
“Throughout this whole crisis, Lamar’s cut out virtually everyone, but he’s always maintained contact with Khloe, so the fact that he’s now not returning her calls or texts is freaking her out...Lamar suffers from the blues. He’s said things like, ‘It’s all just too much,’ and ‘I’m too tired to deal with this anymore,’ and even worse, “I can’t take much more of this.’ Khloe is terrified of losing her best friend and husband.”
