Lady Antebellum has officially announced that they are postponing their new tour. The band went on hiatus a few months ago (while Hillary Scott gave birth) and have since been working on recording the deluxe edition of their album, Golden. The upcoming record will feature their new single, "Compass." The trio have, however, released the 2014 Take Me Downtown tour dates, featuring Kacey Musgraves and Kip Moore.
Country trio Lady Antebellum recently broke the news to fans that their long awaited tour was going to be pushed back. The band announced the news on their website, ladyantebellum.com:
"We're really excited about the Deluxe version of GOLDEN coming out in November and all the events and performances we'll be doing around its release, but we're most excited about getting to play this new music live for you! To accommodate the new release and in order to give you guys the best show possible, we've had to move things around on our tour schedule. The 1st leg of the TAKE ME DOWNTOWN TOUR with Kip and Kacey will now kick off on Jan. 10th in Peoria, IL. We hope these changes aren't too much trouble for you, and that we'll get to see you in one of the more than 60 cities the tour will hit next year."
A full 2014 tour schedule is available on their website.
The band released their latest single "Compass," not found on the regular version of Golden, ahead if the new release. Hillary Scott recently told Country Weekly the reasons for the early release:
“I immediately fell in love with the spirit of the song. As we made it our own, we decided we had to share it with the fans immediately...We just couldn’t wait!”
The deluxe edition of Golden features six extra tracks, including iTunes live recordings of two of the bands greatest hits, " I Run To You" and "Need You Now." The updated album comes out on November 12, 2013.
