A major US tabloid is claiming that Tom Cruise, the world’s most famous scientologist, and his ex-wife Katie Holmes are competing to win their daughter Suri’s love. This latest gossip comes just a day before ex-scientologist (and DWTS contestant) Leah Remini is set to testify against the Church of Scientology.
According to OK! magazine, Tom and Katie have began competing for the love and affection of their 7-year-old daughter, Suri Cruise. An alleged insider told the publication:
“As mature as these two exes are, when it comes to winning the heart of their daughter, they simply devolve into competing teenagers. Katie’s just bought Suri the newest iPad and the newest iPhone, and after Tom got wind of these expensive gifts, he upped the ante by buying her a miniature dollhouse that is, well, the size of most of our real houses.”
The source went on to describe the evolving nature of their relationship, telling the publication:
“They have this competitive thing going. It worked while they were married. But these days, all that competitive adrenaline gets focused on Suri.”
While it’s unclear whether or not these claims are true, one thing is certain--Leah Remini will soon be testifying against the Church of Scientology.
The Dancing With the Stars competitor will be assisting Monique and Marty Rathbun with their lawsuit against David Miscavige, head of the CoS.
According to official documents, Monique claims that David did some pretty messed up stuff to her and husband Marty:
“She has been subjected to numerous, aggressive attempts to intimidate her… She has been targeted at home, at work, and anywhere else that she happens to be. She has been harassed, insulted, surveilled, photographed, videotaped, defamed, and humiliated to such a degree as to shock the conscience of any decent, law-abiding person.”
Ray Jeffrey, attorney for the Rathbuns, confirmed that Leah will be appearing in court to Radar Online, but refused to comment on whether or not she will mention interactions with other celeb scientologists:
“Miscavige’s attorney has claimed in court that Mr. Miscavige is uninterested in our client. I believe Ms. Remini will have testimony that in fact Mr. Miscavige is very concerned about Mr. and Mrs. Rathbun. I don’t want to speak for her, as to what exactly she’ll say. Who knows what may come up.”
