'Captain America 2: Winter Soldier' New Action Figures, Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) and Anthony Mackie (Falcon) Talk New Film

One of the most highly anticipated films of the 2014 season is no doubt Captain America 2: Winter Soldier. Just six months away, the film's stars, Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) and Anthony Mackie (Falcon), are offering up insight into the new movie. Meanwhile, Hasbro has officially released a first look at the new Winter Soldier action figure. WARNING SPOILERS BELOW

In Captain America: The First Avenger, we saw the apparent demise of Cap's World War II buddy, James "Bucky" Barnes, played by Sebastian Stan. However, as comic fans already know and the last film teased, Bucky's story doesn't end there. The character will soon make his return as the Winter Soldier. Hasbro recently released an image of the new action figure at its pre-NYCC press event.

Meanwhile, the recently re-crowned sexiest woman alive, Scarlett Johansson, a.k.a the Black Widow, told Refinery 29 about the new movie:

"This film is in real time. It's been two years since [the characters] appeared, and now both are agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fighting in the streets. We are not superheroes flying side by side. They help each other because we are fighting in a similar way. It’s a working relationship."

She also went on to add that the Black Widow and Cap get a lot closer in the new film, hinting at a possible relationship:

"By a series of unfortunate encounters, they will be in a situation in which their friendship becomes more intimate. They share many similarities because they live on the defensive without relying on anyone. Also, the two have been working for the government throughout their professional careers. With their friendship they begin to question what they want and what is their true identity."

Anthony Mackie, who plays Falcon in the film, recently spoke with Rolling Stone about the look and scope of the sequel:

"It looks amazing. It's so much bigger than everyone thought it would be, and we're kicking a lot of ass. It's a lot of fun to be a part of, especially with Samuel L. Jackson, who's been my mentor for so many years."

Captain America: The Winter Soldier, hits theaters, April 4, 2014.
