M Night Shyamalan’s ‘Wayward Pines’ Renewed for Season 2 with ‘Gotham’ Charlie Tahan

Spoiler Alert: It is official. Wayward Pines has been renewed for a second season. Last summer Fox took us on one h*ll of a trip, with M Night Shyamalan's adaptation of the Blake Crouch novel with the same name. The show starred Matt Dillon, and featured Empire’s Terence Howard and Secret and Lies star Juliette Lewis. However, don’t expect to see any of them because they are all dead. Now it looks like the future belongs to Ben Burke Gotham’s Charlie Tahan.

Fox President of Entertainment David Madden announced the renewal in a press statement, saying (via TVLine):

Wayward Pines was a huge hit for us this past summer. We were absolutely blown away by the mysterious and surprising world that [M.] Night [Shyamalan] and his team created, and the twisting-and-turning storytelling that drew viewers in from Day One/ Season Two is going to take the suspense, the vision of the future and the haunting character drama to whole new levels, and we can’t wait for our fans to continue that ride next year.”
