Pittsburgh Steelers' Antonio Brown Fined for Goal-Post Celebration, Adding Insult to Injury

One of the more hilarious moments Sunday was when the Pittsburgh Steelers' Antonio Brown scored a touchdown and then tried a classic goal-post celebration. The only issue was, he didn't quite stick the landing ... You can see it below, but what makes it even more painful is that he's now been fined by the NFL for an illegal celebration -- adding insult to major injury.

Ouch. Was it worth it, Antonio?

Yes, not only did he bang his nether regions in a precarious fashion, but he has now been fined $11,576. Now that isn't much money to the star wide receiver who's in the midst a five-year, $41.96 million contract, but still, if you're going to do something after scoring a touchdown that is against the league's policy, at least have some style and flair.

Personally, I was always a fan of the Tony Gonzalez/Jimmy Graham crossbar dunks. Granted, I understand why they don't allow it anymore.

Hanging wasn't the best idea, clearly.

But anyway, just don't use the goal posts, guys. I know it's there, and it's big and yellow and looks cool. But there's no need to jump on it -- or into it -- and make yourself look foolish.

The Lambeau leap type of thing works. Nothing wrong with that. You can do what Cam Newton has been doing and give the ball to a lucky fan after each score. Even the salsa or the dab or whatever other kind of stupid dance is fine to do if you enjoy it.

Or you could, ya know, just drop the ball and run back to the sideline and act like you've been there before ... Always an option, just saying. Always an option.

Anyway ... Brown's fail was funny. The fine makes it funnier. The Steelers' chances against the 10-2 Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday is perhaps funniest of all. Speaking of, Mr. Brown, if you score and the game isn't at least close, try not to celebrate so hard. You don't need another excessive celebration two weeks in a row.
