'Real Housewives' Pregnant Kim Zolciak and Kandi Burruss' Court Battle Over 'Tardy for the Party" Ends

The Real Housewives series is known for it's fair share of drama. However, some of the reality show's antics spilled over into the real world, when two of the Atlanta wives found themselves in court. Songwriter Kandi Burruss sued her former cast mate Kim Zolciak over the song "Tardy for the Party," claiming that the pregnant star failed to compensate her for help writing the song. A judge ruled in Zolciak's favor.

Burruss, a Grammy award winning artist who wrote hit songs like Destiny Child's "Bills Bills Bills" and the 90's mega-hit " No Scrubs,"' called out Zolciak for allegedly not paying her for writing "'Tardy for the Party." Burruss blogged back in 2010:

"I hardly got anything from Tardy for the Party. That is the truth. I am not mad about it. I really blame myself because I didn't handle my business correctly."

This was a claim Zolciak strongly denied, telling toofab:

"This is nothing short of a publicity stunt, I find this lawsuit funny yet sad. Coming after me now and this song is 4 years old? I have in fact overpaid Kandi and have documents to prove it and my legal team will handle this accordingly."

Apparently Zolciak did have the documents to prove her claims, as a judge ruled in her favor. The lawsuit wasn't the only action Burruss took against her former co-star. Burruss allegedly attempted to stop the distribution of the song, as Zolciak claimed on Twitter:

"Kandi tried to pull the song down in December on iTunes but after I showed documents and proved points, the song was immediately put back up.''

The lawsuit came at a bad time for Zolciak, who is pregnant with twins. Especially considering it is just under a month away from giving birth. Her husband, Atlanta Falcons defensive end, Kory Biermann is currently on the injured list after tearing his Achilles tendon.
