After filming a massive explosion in Chicago, Transformers 4: Age of Extinction now has a new location to destroy. The epic battle between the Dinobots and the forces of Unicron could be shutting down Washington soon.
The Age of Extinction is closer then ever. The fourth installment in the Transformers film series is currently filming and is making its way to the state of Washington.
An Elma, Washington news station's website q13Fox.com, has reported on a casting cattle call for the new film.
"The production sent out a request for extras for the two-day shoot, specifically looking for 'clean cut, athletic, military, business types.Interested applicants need to be over the age of 18 and an all-day availability on the days of the shoot."
Based on the description, it looks like we can expect some military action in a big business district.
A new video came out last week of a massive explosion at the abandoned Santa Fe grain silos in Chicago. The silos apparently served as a proxy for Hong Kong in the film.
Michael Bay, known for his love of pyrotechnics, recently tweeted a picture of himself behind the camera as explosives went off all around him.
Bay is expected to hand over the reigns as director after this film. The latest installment of the series is intended to be a soft reboot of the franchise, or sort of a G2, for all you hardcore Transformers' fans out there.
The new film forgoes the old human cast, as well as most of the bots. The only two returning Transformers confirmed are series staples, Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, however, they will be given new looks. Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, and Stanley Tucci star with Kelsey Grammer as the film's main human antagonists.
Transformers 4: Age of Extinction will roll out and into theaters on June 27, 2014
