The Grizzlies started the year a putrid 3-6. It came somewhat as a shock to Grizzlies and NBA fans alike because of how successful they've been the past handful of years. The 2015-16 season was expected to be no different as they still had Mike Conley, Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph, among others, to keep it going.

It truly was just a slow start, though. Memphis has bounced back well and have only lost to the Atlanta Hawks and these Spurs in the past 10 games, beating teams like the Oklahoma City Thunder and Dallas Mavericks along the way.

If they want to legitimize their come back, however, they need to defend home court, which is something they've struggled with this year. The Grizzlies' 6-3 record at home isn't much better than their 5-5 road mark. Losing tonight would bring those records even closer to each other, which certainly wouldn't be a positive sign moving forward.

What helps with that cause is that the Spurs are just 5-4 on the road, despite an unblemished 10-0 standing at home. They are a different team at home vs. on the road this year, and that definitely swings the pendulum toward a Grizzlies victory.

But either way, this will be a tough game. The Spurs boast five players with double-digit point averages this year, and Kawhi Leonard leads the way at 21.7 points per game. They're also the second best team in the NBA this year, record-wise, behind the Golden State Warriors.

Ultimately, the Spurs are just playing too well for this Grizzlies team to overcome across the board. So unless Gregg Popovich decides to use this as an opportunity to rest his best players a little more than usual, expect a Spurs victory, despite a testing effort from the Grizzlies.

Prediction: Spurs 97, Grizzlies 94
