Dancing With the Stars managed to assemble a great cast for Season 17 of the hit show. Unfortunately, new rumors claim that Jack Osbourne and Leah Remini are fighting on set. According to reports, their beef is over Sharon (Jack’s mom) and not Scientology.
It’s hard enough to dance when you think an entire religion wants you to fail, but it’s probably even more difficult when one of your fellow contestants is giving you the cold shoulder. Sadly, that seems to be the case for Leah Remini.
Before she walked away from Scientology, Remini worked beside Jack’s mom on the morning show, The View. That was until Sharon fired the woman and then proceeded to bash her on Howard Stern.
According to a source who spoke to Star, Jack dislikes Leah as much as dear old mum. The insider revealed that:
“Jack goes out of his way to avoid her during rehearsals...and when he does see her, he refuses to even acknowledge her.”
These latest revelations come just one week before Remini is set to testify against David Miscavige. Ms. Remini will be giving her deposition on October 15 in Los Angeles.
Monique Rathbun, the wife of Marty Rathbun, a high-ranking ex-scientologist, is who filed the lawsuit.
The suit claims that David Miscavige, leader of the Church of Scientology, is responsible for harassing and surveilling the Rathbuns. The judge who oversaw the case must have taken the claims pretty seriously, because he approved a restraining order against Mr. Miscavige, preventing him from harassing or surveilling the couple.
It is unclear as to whether or not Remini will be dishing on Tom Cruise, John Travolta or other high-ranking celebrity scientologists. According to the Rathbun's’ attorney:
“Miscavige’s attorney has claimed in court that Mr. Miscavige is uninterested in our client. I believe Ms. Remini will have testimony that in fact Mr. Miscavige is very concerned about Mr. and Mrs. Rathbun. I don’t want to speak for her, as to what exactly she’ll say. Who knows what may come up. Certainly it will delve into her experiences in the church.”
