Wendy Williams claims that she feels bad for Kim Kardashian's having married someone like Kanye West. According to BET's late night talk show host, Kim's husband seems to need more attention than the pregnant Keeping Up with the Kardashian star has to give. But the bewigged gossip queen insists that the sex-symbol should never let her hubby hog the limelight -- no matter how much he might like it. Speaking of attention, Wendy also took Ariel Winter to task for not resisting the urge to answer her detractors on Instagram and Twitter. It seems that Williams was disappointed that the 17-year-old Modern Family star allowed offensive fans to goad her into responding to their ugly comments about her recently posting a bikini pic on social media.
While many women no doubt consider Kanye West to be quite the catch, Wendy Williams seems to feel bad for Kim Kardashian's having to contend with his enormous ego both night and day.
In her latest contribution to the December 7, issue of Life & Style Wendy commiserates with Kim's situation and advices her to push back against her husband's insatiable need to hold the spotlight:
"I feel sorry for Kim Kardashian. She's a mom to 2-year-old North, has another baby on the way and is in need of TLC.
"Instead she is married to a showstopper.
"Keep bringing the heat so your husband doesn't outshine you!"
Sadly, Wendy's words of wisdom for Ariel Winter read more as a critique than an inspiring bit of advice.
After some of Modern Family's fans attacked the teenager on Instagram for having the nerve to wear a two-piece bathing suit in a recent family photo, Ariel called out her classless critics for bullying an underage girl:
"Who knew that an innocent photo with my nieces would turn into this? The height of a girl's skirt or whatever she is wearing for that matter, does not imply what she is asking for.
"It sickens me to think at 17 years old, a photo of myself with my nieces is suggesting that I'm 'asking for it.'"
Where Wendy told Kim that she should never back down, Williams gave Ariel the exact opposite advice in her piece for L&S -- insisting it would be better if she never bothered sticking up for herself at all:
"Haters will drive you crazy.
"If you post what you want online, be prepared for the backlash.
"And when the backlash happens, don't respond!"
What do you think about Wendy Williams' advice?
Is it nice that she is willing to dole out these pearls of wisdom free of charge to her fellow celebs?
Or, would everyone be a lot better off, if Wendy Williams learned how to better mind her own business?
