'Thor: The Dark World' New Lego Movie Poster Released for 'Lego Marvel Super Heroes' Video Game

Thor: The Dark World has been given the Lego treatment with a mock movie poster promoting the upcoming Lego Marvel Super Heroes video game.

One of the world's hottest companies and the biggest comic book film franchise are joining forces in Lego Marvel Super Heroes. The new video game features all your favorite Marvel superheroes and villains in Lego form.

Chris Baker, Marvel Entertainment’s interactive manager, recently spoke with Hero Complex about the new game:

“We wanted to touch every corner of the Marvel universe that was possible. You can’t make an infinitely long game, but you can make a long game that has Asgard and that has New York. If you look at the big, open world of New York, you’ll see the Baxter Building and Stark Tower.”

TT Games' game director, Arthur Parsons, talked about the game's storyline:

“There’s a threat to the Earth, and the story flows from there We sort of meet bad guys along the way, but you’re never really sure what the narrative is. We twist it and turn it to make sure the player always thinks they know what’s happening and then — boom — we turn it on its head."

Later adding:

“Superheroes in New York come to save the day. We need the populace that’s inhabiting New York to find themselves in various predicaments, whether they’re humorous or related to Marvel villains. The idea is to create a constant, living city that players can fiddle around in to the heart’s content.”

The game is produced by Marvel rival, DC's parent company, Warner Brothers. However, the two tiatans didn't let that stand in the way according to Baker:

“It is, admittedly, a little weird to have a Marvel game published by Warner Bros., but we both wanted this game to happen.”

Lego Marvel Super Heroes, comes out October 22.
