Spoiler Alert: Tonight,ABC’s hit fairytale drama Once Upon A Time is back with the first of the final two episode of 2015. Recently we saw Captain Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) become the new Dark One. Sorry, A Dark One. Because of Emma Swan’s (Jennifer Morrison) desperate actions to save Hook’s life, there are now two Dark Ones. Now, O’Donoghue is opening up about Hook’s descent (or ascent) into darkness. Check the report below for a look at the penultimate episode of the year and O’Donoghue’s comments.
The official plot synopsis for this tonight’s all new episode of Once Upon a Time, titled “Broken Heart,” reads:
“Hook becomes a Dark One in a Camelot flashback and he and Emma clash over how to proceed. Back in Storybrooke, Hook's passion for vengeance against Gold is reawakened; and Emma attempts to persuade Hook to fight the darkness within him.”
Recently, Entertainment Weekly spoke with the Captain himself Hook’s newfound darkness compared to his old pirate ways:
“He’s kind of similar to the original Hook, but amplified by the present. What we have to remember is that Hook embraced the Darkness before, whereas Emma has always tried to fight it. Even as her Dark One, she still comes from a place of hope as the Savior. That’s where her Dark One is starting from, whereas Hook knows that he can’t resist that side of things, so he fully embraces it and goes into himself.”
Be sure to tune into the all new episode of Once Upon A Time, tonight at 8:00 p.m. eastern on ABC.
