Jason Kidd Proving to be Perfect Leader for Up-and-Coming Milwaukee Bucks

On Wednesday, Milwaukee Bucks head coach Jason Kidd was ejected late in the team's 129-118 loss to the Sacramento Kings. Kidd was upset with the referees after they did not immediately grant him a time out before an in-bounds play, and smacked the ball out of referee Zach Zarba's hands, earning him his second technical foul and the ejection. Kidd will also almost undoubtedly be fined and suspended for his actions. With the Bucks sitting at 6-9 and falling behind the all of a sudden good Eastern Conference, Kidd would be a candidate for rumors to spring up about his job. While they haven't yet, some people might think a change would be good soon, but a change in personnel would ruin a team simply growing through growing pains.

While the Bucks made a huge splash this off-season, signing Greg Monroe to a max contract, they are still led by a core of extremely young players. Giannis Antetokuonmpo and Jabari Parker are the two cornerstones that give hope to Bucks fans, and are both 20. Their youth leads to some inconsistency, as is the case with nearly every young NBA player. A personnel change would just send them right back to square one early in their careers.

Also, Kidd is a proven winner, and has succeeded with now two Eastern Conference teams. The Brooklyn Nets spiraled downward following Kidd being traded for two second round picks, and are currently one of the two teams in the East worse than the Bucks, sitting at 3-12. This is after barely earning a spot in the playoffs last season. The year before was Kidd's only season at the helm, a season in which they not only were a contender, but also won a seven-game series against the Toronto Raptors.

Last season, the Bucks made huge leaps, earning a playoff spot and forcing Games 5 and 6 against the Chicago Bulls after falling behind 3-0. This came after they had the worst record in the league the season before and missed out on Andrew Wiggins and the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA Draft. Their rise is being facilitated by a coach who spent his entire playing career facilitating offenses and succeeding. The team got their biggest acquisition since Monta Ellis this off-season, and are built to win soon, with Kidd in charge.
