Sure, most people would think that the turkey, the football or even the time with their families are some of the best parts about Thanksgiving Day. However, for us here at Classicalite, the best part has to be the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The musical numbers, especially. Earlier this morning, we were treated to musical numbers from hit musicals The King and I, Finding Neverland, Fiddler on the Roof, Something Rotten and On Your Feet, as well as a special sneak peek at NBC’s upcoming special, The Wiz Live. However, we haven’t had our fill of Broadway for the evening. Good thing TLC is airing an all new special, Broadway at the White House. The special is hosted by Broadway legend and Disney’s Descendants villain Kristen Chenoweth (Wicked, You're A Good Man Charlie Brown) and Glee vet Matthew Morrison (Hairspray, Catch Me if You Can, Finding Neverland).
Check out the report below to see what time the show starts and what you can expect to see.
The official TV Guide preview for tonight’s Broadway at The White House event, reads:
“Kristin Chenoweth and Matthew Morrison host a symposium in Washington, D.C. for 40 high-school students who aspire to careers in theater and attend workshops with subjects that include acting, directing, costume design and music composition. Also appearing are First Lady Michelle Obama, Gloria Estefan, Christian Borle and Cicely Tyson.”
What do you think about tonight’s show? What is your favorite Broadway number of all time. Let us know your thoughts in the comments section at the bottom of the page.
Be sure to check out Broadway at the White House, tonight at 8:00 p.m. eastern on TLC.
