Ben Affleck is going through what must be a one roller coaster ride of a time. On one hand his career could not be better. On the other his family is in shambles after he allegedly cheated on his wife, leading to a highly publicized breakup. However, it looks like things might be changing. It has been reported that Affleck and Garner are trying to work out their issues, hoping that adopting twins can help them cancel their divorce and save their marriage. Affleck has also opened up about the stress he is under after taking on the iconic role of Batman in next year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Lets face it. Man of Steel didn’t really light the fire under the DC cinematic universe that Warner Brothers wanted. Batman’s inclusion is film could be seen as a desperate play to please fans and quickly build the DCCU. Recently, Ben Affleck opened up about the pressure he is under to save the film, telling Variety:
“I think there is a ton of pressure on it. I mean I would be bulls**ting you to say there isn’t.”
However, Affleck seems pretty confident in the success of the film, adding:
“You’ll see next year they are going to have a great year. They are now developing … probably the single greatest under-exploited IP asset in the entertainment business, the DC comic world. And now they have started to exploit that and you are going to see that blossom. And, when it does, it’s going to be massive.”
Elsewhere, Affleck might be feeling the pressure at home. In what might be another hail Mary play to save his marriage, Affleck and Garner are reportedly looking to adopt twins.
The National Enquirer was on of the first to report on the story, writting:
“Ben and Jen, both 43, are putting their $150 million divorce on hold for the sake of their three children, sources have exclusively told The National ENQUIRER -- and they are not done yet! The battling stars are set to adopt infant twins to go along with biological children Violet, 9; Seraphina, 6; and Sam, 3 -- and will make the big announcement at Christmas!”
