There was no winner of this weekend’s Mega Millions lottery jackpot. That means that this week’s (Tuesday, Nov 24,) game total has risen once again. Check the report below to see what you might have to be thankful this Thanksgiving.
The all new total for this week’s (Tues, Nov 24) jackpot total has reached $25 million with an estimated cash value option of $15 million.
The official Mega Millions lottery is reporting on the big winner of one of last month’s big money winners:
“An estimated $106 million jackpot ($65 million cash) was, perhaps fittingly, won in New York on Friday night, September 11. A single ticket matched all six numbers – the white balls 5, 11, 31, 50 and 67, plus the Mega Ball 14. The jackpot win is New York’s third Mega Millions jackpot win in 2015, following earlier wins on February 27 ($126 million) and March 24 ($58 million).
"Also in Friday night’s drawing, there was a $1 million Match 5 winning ticket sold in Michigan.
“The jackpot had been rolling since it was last won in Missouri on July 31. In this jackpot runup, there have been more than 13.5 million Mega Millions prizes won at all levels since July 31, including 12 prizes of $1 million or more.”
The official website is also sharing the story of one of the game’s smaller scale prize winners:
“August 26, 2015 - Daryl B. normally picks his own numbers on the occasions that he plays Mega Millions and Powerball. But on the day he visited Mifflin Town Mart in Mifflintown, Penn., he was in a bit of a hurry.
“‘I asked the clerk to give me quick picks for Mega Millions and Powerball, and also an instant game -- which turned out to be a $4 winner,’ Daryl said with a laugh.
“But Daryl wasn’t done winning quite yet.
“A few days later, he got a call from his daughter who asked if he had played Mega Millions at Mifflin Town Mart, because local news was reporting the store had sold a big winner.”
