It is hard to feel safe these days, especially in large crowds. It has been reported that the hacker group Anonymous has allegedly uncovered proof that the terrorist group ISIS was planning to attack the WWE Survivor Series Event this weekend. Other groups claiming to represent Anonymous have denied this report. However, being anonymous and all, it’s hard to tell which Anonymous is Anonymous. Still the FBI was notified. WWE and superstar Triple H have come out saying that the show will still go on.
International Business Times is reporting on someone claiming to be from the online white hat hacker group, Anonymous, released a statement warning of a possible attack at WWE Survivor Series event.
The WWE has released a statement the press about the threat and their decision to move forward with Survivor Series 2015 (via Aol):
"The FBI is aware of reports of an alleged threat that includes an Atlanta, Georgia venue and event. While we take all threats seriously, we do not have specific or credible information of an attack at this time. We have, however, made the proper notifications as we continue to work closely with our law enforcement and private sector partners to keep our community safe."
Triple H has also spoken out about the threat on his Twitter account, writing:
