Pacific Northwest Ballet Celebrates 40th Anniversary

Pacific Northwest Ballet (PNB) will give a special performance to celebrate its 40th anniversary.

Greeting their 40th year in the season 2012-13, the Seattle-based ballet company is offering a three-week money-saving deal for this special performance: Pay no service fees for tickets purchased between July 23 and August 10.

"Pacific Northwest Ballet is a jewel in the crown of American ballet and a rightful source of Northwest pride," said artistic director Peter Boal in a statement..

"We're celebrating this 40th Anniversary milestone by honoring our past and leaping forward with six new works by choreographers ranging from promising fledglings to the best in the business," Boal added.

The six world premieres to be featured in PNB's 40th season include works by Andrew Bartee, Kiyon Gaines, Margaret Mullin, and Mark Morris. Other highlights include "Cinderella," "Roméo et Juliette," and "Swan Lake," and "Nutcracker."
