Disney/Pixar may have upset some fans when they announced that the release dates for The Good Dinosaur and Finding Dory would be pushed back a year. However, the studios plan to regain some fans with a special Halloween treat. Fan favorites Buzz and Woody will return this month in Toy Story of Terror, a new sequel to Toy Story 3. The network has recently released a new clip from the special that airs on ABC on Wednesday, October 16.
It's time to pull the toys out of the attic. Disney/Pixar are bringing back all of our favorite friends for a televised Halloween special. Toy Story of Terror will air later this month on ABC. The sequel special will pick up where Toy Story 3 left off. The play pals all embark on a road trip gone wrong, when Mr. Potato Head goes missing.
The Toy Story series staring Tim Allen and Tom Hanks is one of the highest acclaimed animated series of all time. The beloved series began in 1995 and has consisted of three films and several other spin-offs including animated cartoons, video games and ice shows.
The official synopses on ABC's website reads:
"From Disney•Pixar comes a spooky new tale featuring all of your favorite characters from theToy Story films. What starts out as a fun road trip for the Toy Story gang takes an unexpected turn for the worse when the trip detours to a roadside motel. After one of the toys goes missing, the others find themselves caught up in a mysterious sequence of events that must be solved before they all suffer the same fate in this Toy Story OF TERROR!"
