Tonight, Fox’s hit Batman prequel series Gotham is all new with the first of the last three episode before hiatus. Yes, that is right. Gotham is going is going on extended 3-month hiatus in order to try and avoid last year’s roller coaster schedule. Check the report below for a look at tonight’s all new episode of Gotham as well as look at the new 2015/2016 schedule.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode of Gotham, titled “Rise of the Villains: A Bitter Pill to Swallow,” reads:
“Gordon comes face-to-face with a dangerous hit man while he and Barnes continue to cleanup Gotham; Nygma and Penguin cross paths; and Bruce pressures Galavan to hand over the name of his parents' murderer.”
Last season Gotham aired on and off, talking breaks as long a month and half only to come back, and then take a break again. This year they have a plan to combat the up and down, by switching to two non stop mini-seasons, consisting of 11 episodes each. However, that method can be equal frustrating, especially for viewers who don’t want to go three months without new episodes of Gotham.
Recently, Alfred actor Sean Pertwee spoke to Comicbook.com about the show’s upcominging hiatus, saying:
"We also won’t have that extra break, that March Madness thing, so I think we’re just going 11, break, then 11."
Tonight’s new episode is number 9 in the season, meaning that there are only two more episodes after tonight in the 2015 season.
What do you think about the new break schedule? Will you be able to wait 3 months for more Gotham? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section at the bottom of the page.
Enjoy them while you have and be sure to tune into the all new episode of Gotham, tonight at 8:00 p.m. eastern on Fox.
