NBC is taking on the throwback Thursday theme with it's new fall comedy lineup. The network brought Michael J. Fox back to television last week with his first regular role since he left Spin City. Tonight, we'll see the return of Will and Grace star, Sean Hayes, in his new series, Sean Saves the World.
NBC's Thursday night line up, at one time dubbed "Must See TV," was the home to some of comedy's highest-rated shows--including hits like Friends, Frasier, Will and Grace, Cheers, Wings, Seinfeld and The Cosby Show, just to the name a few. More recent comedies, like Scrubs, 30 Rock and The Office achieved only modest ratings but received critical acclaim.
Now the peacock is hoping to regain it's place in the primetime sun, by bringing back some of TV's biggest names.
The Michael J Fox Show debuted last week with an hour long block that began at 9/10c. Tonight it moves to it's regular time slot at 9:30/10:30c.
Tonight will also mark the return of Will and Grace star Sean Hayes in Sean Saves the World. The shows official synopses reads:
"Sean's a divorced dad who's trying to juggle it all. From his overbearing boss and offbeat employees at work - to his pushy mom and weekends with his teenage daughter at home - handling it all is no easy task. So when Ellie, his 14-year-old bundle of joy, moves in full-time, it's a whole new challenge."
The full nights lineup consists of: Parks and Recreation, Welcome to the Family, Sean Saves the World, The Michael J. Fox Show, and Parenthood.
Be sure to check out all the excitement, beginning tonight at 8 p.m.
