Meek Mill Talks New Mixtape ‘Dreamchasers 3’ After Rapper Lil Snupe Was Murdered

Meek Mill recently gave an interview to Rolling Stone, where the rapper opened up about his new mixtape, Dreamchasers 3. The Q&A session follows the June murder of his newly signed artist, Lil Snupe.

In his interview with the legendary rock and roll magazine, Meek was asked about his style on the upcoming record. Many have commented that Meek yells too much, but Mill defended his choice, telling the publication:

“My music is turnt up. I come from Philadelphia. If you come in a cypher, you can't be quiet. You can't be cool, cause these guys, it's a thousand people in the corner watching. They talking while you rapping, they not paying attention, so...when the intro come on, when the low part is on? Everybody talking, some people singing it, but when that intro drop and the beat turn up and Meek Mill get to screaming? That's when the club turn up! That's when that LIV confetti fall! This is DJ prime-time right here, you know what I'm saying? Busta Rhymes yelled too much, DMX yelled too much, a lot of people yell too much. The hell is rap? Tupac yelled too much. Everybody got their own twist.”

All indications appear that the mixtape will be hugely successful for Mill and DJ Drama. And that’s good, considering the loss Meek has experienced this year.

Lil Snupe, who Meek signed late last year was tragically murdered over the summer. The rapper talked about Snupe in an interview with MTV earlier this year:

"He was spittin' so much pain, he's from the south with a flow like an east coast guy," Meek said. "Like with that bounce flow, all over the place, he really can spit, and he was talking that talk that I can really relate to. I seen potential in him."
