Obsessive Compulsives have it rough. No, it isn’t the comical disorder where you wash your hands and clean your house, that everyone seems to think it is. The disorder can fill your head with some really dark thoughts and overwhelm you with anxiety, compelling you to perform otherwise pointless rituals in order to regain some control. When severe OCD sets in, a person's whole day can become devoted to trying to ward off the dark and painful thoughts that are pulled into their heads. But apparently no one told the people at Target this. The big box retailer, which has hit setback after setback recently, is now being accused of making fun of the mentally ill. Apparently it's not OK to say Merry Christmas, or to put it on a coffee cup, but you invoke can the holy day in order to stick it to the mentally ill. Target is now facing backlash for selling a Christmas sweater that reads, “Obsessive Christmas Disorder.”
Take a look at the sweater below to judge for yourself:
What do you think about the sweater? Did you find it offensive? Did Target go too far? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section at the bottom of the page.
