Just think of Amber Tamblyn as one of the boys. The former House MD star joined the cast of CBS's Two and a Half Men last week. It was her trial run to fill in for missing half man, Angus T. Jones. After just one week, it's been officially announced that Tamblyn is going to be promoted to the main cast. Tamblyn plays Charlie Sheen's character's long lost bisexual daughter.
It didn't take long for audiences to fall in love with Amber Tamblyn. The 30-year-old actress plays Jenny, Charlie Harper's long lost daughter, who comes to town to catch up with her estranged family. The character isn't that much different from her on screen daddy. Jenny shares Charlie's notorious reputation as a lady's man, as Tamblyn recently told E! News:
''Her name is Jenny, and she is a fun, playful, debaucherous character. She’s unapologetic and enjoys drinking Ashton Kutcher’s character [Walden] under the table. Literally, at some point, he’s gonna be under the table, and there’ll be a joke about that.""
She later added to the description:
''She’s super into the ladies, and that’s something that is a recurring thing. I think I’ve seen more bras and panties at this point than I have in 20 years of my career. And I ain’t complainin’''
Two and a Half Men creator Chuck Lorre told the Television Critics Association during the summer about why he chose to add a female lead into a show that has been set in a man’s world for the past ten years:
"I think it would be great to have a voice on the show from a different perspective, The show has had enough testosterone to last a lifetime. Part of the fun in this has been creating a character that is equal to the task of stepping on the stage with Jon Cryer and Ashton Kutcher. That's a big job. The idea of the character brings a healthy amount of decadence, which is always fun on Two and a Half Men."
