Manning is returning to Indianapolis for just the second time since joining the Broncos. Last time these teams met up in the place where No. 18 became a legend, the Colts upset the 6-0 Broncos.
This time, however, the Colts have been a team in shambles. They're 3-5 and have had a myriad of injuries all year long, including to their best player, Andrew Luck. But he is back and has at least had the team competitive the past few weeks. That said, they've lost three games in a row, and have an extremely tough test against perhaps the best defense in the NFL.
Meanwhile, the Broncos are 7-0 and fresh off a beat down of Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. Truly, it was the best defensive performance against Rodgers in the quarterback's history, and that's simply an amazing feat.
If the Broncos defense plays that well again, you can kiss the Colts' dreams of a win goodbye.
Manning, despite struggling more this year than in any other of his career, looked better last week after three-straight poor showings. He threw for 340 yards and a pick. Though he didn't score, the running game came alive and did all of that work once they were in striking distance. If he can build off of that, this has all the makings of a blowout on the road for the Broncos.
