Lady Antebellum has a new addition...and we don't mean Hillary Scott's baby daughter, Eisele. The CMA nominated trio have just released a new single, "Compass," that will appear on the deluxe edition of their new album Golden. The updated album will be released in November as the band gears up for their new tour.
Lady Antebellum treated fans to an early taste of their updated record, Golden Deluxe Edition. The initial album was released on May 7, 2013 and featured hits, "Downtown" and "Goodbye Town." Now they have released a new single that didn't appear on the record's first release (presumably because it doesn't have the word "town" in the title).
The new single, "Compass," is now available on iTunes. Hillary Scott recently told Country Weekly the reasons for the early release:
“I immediately fell in love with the spirit of the song. As we made it our own, we decided we had to share it with the fans immediately...We just couldn’t wait!”
Bandmate Charles Kelly also teased that the deluxe edition will feature a few more surprise tracks and that the band will be adding more tour dates:
"loving the response to the new single Compass and we got more where that came from on the deluxe album. can't wait to play it live. ck"
This is great news for fans of the band. Listeners have been having to do without Scott while she was on maternity leave. Hillary Scott and husband Chris Tyrell welcomed their first child, daughter Eisele Kaye Tyrrell, into the world on July 22. However, while she was pregnant, Scott did manage to do a little recording....sort of. Back in July, she tweeted:
''My most recent humbling moment: hearing a recording that your husband took of you, 9 months pregnant, SNORING! #sawinglogs #nodenyingit ''
Golden the deluxe edition comes out November 12.
