Rumors are once again flying that Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are getting a divorce. Recent photos show that McGraw performed without wearing his wedding ring, after a slew of tabloid rumors that claimed the artist was cheating on his wife...and even some that claimed he was gay. In this latest update, we’ll take a look at the country stars and see if there really is trouble in paradise.
For weeks, tabloids and gossip sites around the globe have claimed that the duo was calling it quits. The first to announce their split was the totally disreputable National Enquirer.
New photos, however, lead many to wonder if the tabloid got it right.
McGraw performed at the iHeartRadio Music Festival on September 21. Not only was his wife absent...but so was his wedding ring. According to a source who spoke to Star magazine, this is incredibly rare for Tim:
“Tim never takes off his ring...While he is very quiet about the status of his marriage, he and Faith have been fighting a lot recently--and he’s tired of it all. He was making a big statement by performing without his ring at such a huge festival.”
The couple, who have been married for over 17 years, have an upcoming anniversary on October 6. But according to an insider, Tim doesn’t feel like celebrating:
“Faith has been trying to make things work. She wanted to do something special for their anniversary, but he said no...He is done dealing with Faith’s controlling ways. He’s made it clear the he doesn’t know if he will ever put his ring back on.”
Of course, these aren’t the only rumors that are plaguing the embattled couple. The Enquirer also alleged that McGraw is going to be outed in an upcoming book, written by a former band mate. They quote a source (who is likely fictional) as saying:
“I’m going to tell stories about how Tim made comments, and complimented some band members on the size of their manhood, as they played along with his practical jokes. They would have contests to see who could top the other with the wildest horseplay. And they would trade stories--half of them revolving around someone getting naked and doing something crazy."
