It was clear to virtually everyone that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth were going to break up in 2013. Still, the “Wrecking Ball” singer (and twerking superstar) isn’t handling her split with The Hunger Games’ actor very well. Cyrus was caught on cam crying at her last performance, presumably over her destroyed relationship.
The iHeartRadio Music Festival isn’t really known for women crying on stage, but Miley has once again redefined what we think of as acceptable. Following her nasty break up with her fiance, the singer had an emotional meltdown on stage.
The singer had to collect herself after she performed her new jam, “Wrecking Ball.” Attendees claim, however, that Cyrus was still able to put on a great show.
This comes after a major U.S. tabloid, OK! Magazine, claimed that the young singer tried to trap Liam into staying with her by claiming that she was pregnant. They quote a “source” who revealed:
“Miley thought that she was expecting and wanted to announce it to the world, even before she went to a doctor to verify the results. Liam begged her not to go public yet. He was emotionally out of the romance for months by that point, though he was still sleeping with her. She agreed to stay quiet for Liam’s sake.”
According to the publication, Miley also used the pregnancy scare to trap Liam. Cyrus allegedly told Liam that she would destroy him in the media if he left her at such a “delicate time.” An insider revealed to the magazine:
“She begged him to stay and said that he could have his space, as long as he didn’t break up with her. So Liam obliged. He got his freedom and she got the right to say they were still engaged.”
