'Arrow's' Stephen Amell Teases Justice League TV Show

With the recent announcement that Warner Brothers is planning both a Flash spin-off and a Gotham City centered Batman prequel, DC characters are taking over TV. Now Arrow's Stephen Amell is teasing bringing the Justice League to the small screen.

When it comes to superhero movies there is no doubt that Marvel is king. The Disney owned comic book publisher continually brings hit after hit to the big screen. However, despite the recent addition of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Marvel has for its part shown little interest in the small screen.

For well over ten years DC comics has had an almost exclusive hold on live action television. From Smallville, Birds of Prey, Human Target and Arrow to the newly announced Flash spin-off and Batman prequel, Gotham, DC has and will be in living rooms everywhere, week after week.

So it shouldn't surprise people to hear that Warner Brothers, who has been struggling to get a Justice League features film off the ground, might try and bring everyone's favorite Super Friends to small screen.

In a recent interview with Digital Spy, Arrow's own Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) teased the idea of joining the Justice League:

"I'd sweep their floors. Any opportunity to be a part of the Justice League movie as Green Arrow or otherwise, it would be really exciting, but it doesn't have to be a movie. We are doing a—we're working in concert with DC and the better we do, the more successful our show is, the more opportunities we're going to get to perhaps have members of the Justice League on our show."

This is huge considering that when Arrow started there weren't meant to be any super powers allowed. Amell also went on to talk about other ways the hit CW show is changing:

"I got the inkling, sort of the itch, to re-familiarize myself [with old episodes], and it's an entirely different show," said Amell. "There's like a bad guy of the week, there's voiceover, which Diggle became my voiceover, basically. There are so many aspects of the show that are different."
