Princess Kate Middleton, who the tabloids claim is pregnant, got herself in a bit of a crisis, recently. A cruise ship that Kate launched back in June just left a ton of passengers stranded. Of course, Kate has her own set of difficulties as she plans the baptism of Prince George Alexander Louis.
Maybe it’s not a bright idea to name a boat after one’s self, after all. Unfortunately, everyone’s favorite princess did just that.
Four months ago, Kate took part in a grand ceremony where she was to choose the name for a new cruise ship. Kate decided that “Royal Princess” would make a great moniker. Of course, she probably wouldn’t have made that decision if she knew what was to come.
Just one week into a 12-day cruise, 3500 guests were left stranded. The ship has abandoned its course due to severe electrical and plumbing problems. A guest aboard the ship spoke with the Daily Mail, telling the publication:
“We were stranded there for about four hours until they sorted that out.We were told they had eventually repaired and then restarted the motor of the anchor winch. Then on Sunday afternoon the engines just completely stopped which meant many of the lights and lifts did not work for long periods and the air conditioning also failed. I have to add that the crew have been amazing and the restaurant staff have done everything they can to feed people. I think there are some emergency generators on board which have helped.”
Don’t worry about the princess. The lovely Mrs. Middleton was not aboard the ship at the time. She was too busy planning Prince George’s upcoming baptism. One of the biggest decisions she and Prince William are having to make is who will the godparents be. The Christian Post thinks they know who she might select (in addition to Pippa and Harry):
“Other potential godparents to Prince George, who has been nicknamed 'Georgie' by his parents include William's cousins Peter and Zara Phillips; his best friend from Ludgrove prep school and Eton, Thomas van Straubenzee; Middleton's best friend from Marlborough, Alicia Fox-Pitt; and the children of the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla.”
