Officially, Voice cast members Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are nothing more than good friends, but behind-the-scenes their secret romance is said to be glowing white hot. According to the latest gossip news updates, the sweethearts hope to get married just as soon as the Hollaback Girl's divorce from Gavin Rossdale is finalized. While the wedding is supposedly being planned for some locale that is going to be as quiet as it is exotic, word has it that Miranda Lambert's ex-husband was hoping to announce their engagement together later this year on the TV show's season finale.
Blake Shelton might be doing his best to throw everyone off the scent with his Twitter denials, but a source from the set of The Voice told Radar Online that everyone that works with them has figured out what's really up:
"There is definitely something going on with the two of them now. Blake and Gwen are being very flirty both on and off set.
"At first they were just bonding over the fact that they were both going through divorces at the same time...That turned into an even closer friendship between them."
One production source in the latest October 26, issue of Life & Style claims that Blake and Gwen are already talking about getting married, but their time tables for the would-be wedding are not quite in sync just yet:
"Blake would marry Gwen today if he could...[but] ideally, she would like to wait a year after he divorce in final to get married again.
"She likes discussing what it would be like to be married to Blake, but it's just too soon to take those steps."
According to L&S' informant, Gwen already cares deeply for Blake, but the No Doubt frontwoman doesn't want to suddenly upset her family's fragile status quo by bringing someone new into the picture too soon:
"Gwen doesn't want her kids to think she's replaced their dad.
"She also doesn't want to shove it in Gavin's face."
