It appears as though the Hocus Pocus star, Bette Midler, had some things to say about Purpose pop singer Justin Bieber's nude photos breaking the internet over the past week and his dad, Jeremy Bieber's tweet.
The Divine Miss M has never been afraid to speak her mind and she took to Twitter to do just that during the nude photo controversy. She was appalled at Bieber's father's response on the controversy regarding his son via his Twitter.
Midler, 69 openly accused the "What Do You Mean" singer's dad, Jeremy Bieber, for abandoning him. If anybody needs to be refreshed on this matter then here is your refresher (in case you spent the week living under a rock)...
While young Bieber and his model-friend, Jayde Pierce, were on vacation in Bora Bora, photos were taken of them and leaked on the internet. He was completely nude. The internet broke because fans of the young pop star, along with fellow celebrities, were talking about the Bieber controversy this past week and of course, there were some fans who clicked on the articles just to see Bieber in his birthday suit.
By the statuses posted by Bieber's dad, he could really be a proud papa or he wanted to get in the spotlight and grab some attention for himself. "@justinbieber what do you feed that thing. #proud daddy," Jeremy Bieber had written on his Twitter status which was later deleted. He also had another status posted calling his sons manhood "a beaut." These are the tweets that got under Midler's skin.
Midler issued a response to the NSFW photos of Bieber in a sense, retaliating against his dad on Saturday, tweeting, ".@justinbieber dad tweeted he's proud of his son's penis size. I think the biggest d--- in this situation is the dad who abandoned his son."
Midler could be saying what is on many people's minds, but did she have the right to say it? The young Bieber himself stated back in 2010 that he and his father have "a great relationship" despite it being his mom, Pattie Mallette, who raised him alone.
Bieber, 21, is trying to stay focused on his upcoming album, Purpose, and wants no part of the drama about his man parts.
Do you think Bette Midler was out of line? How do you feel about his dads comments?
