Fans of christian music have a lot of new albums to look forward to in the coming weeks. A number of prominent artists and compilations have upcoming release dates. That list includes Sidewalk Prophets, WOW, Natalie Grant (whose single “Hurricane” is already on the top of Billboard) and Chris Tomlin. We’ll take a look at the artists and let you know when you can get your hands on their newest music.
It’s not even October yet, but you would think it was December by looking at the albums coming up. Many artists will be dropping their Christmas albums long before the December 25 date.
Among them is Sidewalk Prophets. The Dove award winning band will be releasing Merry Christmas to You on September 24. The entire band will be on the album, including: David Frey (lead vocals), Ben McDonald (rhythm guitar), Carl Joslin (bass), Justin Nace (drums) and Shaun Tomczak (lead guitar).
Also releasing an album on that date, is the popular variety series, WOW. In fact, WOW is actually releasing three albums on September 24: WOW Hits 2014, WOW Christmas (Blue) and WOW Gospel Christmas.
October will see its fair share of releases as well. On October 15, Natalie Grant will be releasing her upcoming album, Hurricane. She has already released one single, of the same name. Her song has been a pretty big hit so far, leaving many anticipating the release of the full album.
But it hasn’t been all smooth sailing for the 41-year-old singer. She recently gave an interview where she discussed how she came up with the title:
“The hurricane started with the birth of my third child. There was an inner war—the guilt I was feeling that I was this Christian artist who was supposed to have her life together, and here I was, dealing with depression.”
Rounding out that list will be Chris Tomlin. On October 29, Burning Lights Deluxe Tour Edition will officially be released to the public. This will be the artist’s twelfth album.
