La Stella has only struck-out seven times in his 75 times at bat, so it isn't a wonder the Cubs are putting him in this key batting position. It will be interesting to see how well La Stella plays on third, as he's only started there six times in his career. Jake Arrieta, of course, may be the deciding factor, as he's only given up 4 earned runs in 88 innings. If a team can't score, they can't win.
The Pittsburgh Pirates have home-field advantage, which they definitely will want against the Cubs. One notable change in the Pirates line up is that they are benching Pedro Alvarez to get Sean Rodriguez on 1B. Hopefully, this will be a good decision for the team. Gerrit Cole has had a fair bit of success in pitching against the Cubs, giving up only eight total runs in about 25 innings. This will definitely be an interesting pitching game, and it is quite likely that whoever pitches better will be the deciding factor in tonight's National League Wild Card game.
