Vernon Davis Disses Aldon Smith Drunk Driving and Drugs Arrest, Police Respond

Aldon Smith has been charged with drunk driving and possession of drugs. His teammate, Vernon Davis, dissed the athlete over the arrest, and he wasn’t the only one talking. The police have also responded to questions from the press.

It was an anonymous call that lead to the arrest of Aldon Smith. A concerned citizen called police to report a crash.

Smith wrecked his vehicle into a tree and a curve. Their were also tire marks left on the road and in a driveway.

When police apprehended Smith, he was noticeably intoxicated. At least that’s what the police are claiming, as Sgt. Heather Randol revealed:

"[Police] conducted an investigation and determined he was under the influence. He was the only person inside the vehicle."
Although Smith has yet to appear in court, that didn’t stop some of his teammates from commenting on the incident. Most vocale, perhaps, is Vernon Davis, who told the press:

“Some guys listen, some guys don't. You can take the horse to the water, but you can't make him drink. It's all about doing the right thing," Davis said. "I'm sure he'll come around. It's just a matter of time. Hopefully, he'll learn from this situation that he got himself into, and maybe it will come out positive instead of negative."

This isn’t Smith’s only run in with the law. In January, he was arrested for DUI. In June, he was stabbed at a house party. Earlier in the month, it was announced that he was being sued by a man who claims he was shot at one of Smith’s parties.
