It's almost here! The third installment of the FX cult series American Horror Story, subtitled Coven, is just a few weeks away. Devoted fans eagerly awaiting the season of the witch are in for a treat. The newest teaser trailer has been released, and we have all the gory details.
The latest trailer released to E! News reveals a lot for some thing that is only 30 seconds long. The teaser takes us inside the halls of Miss Robichaux’s Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies. However this school definitely isn't anything like Harry Potter's Hogwarts.
Taissa Farmiga makes her long awaited return the series after being absent during the second season. Farmiga's new character, Zoe, has just learned that she is a witch and is sent to the academy to learn how to protect herself.
Ms. American Horror Story, Jessica Lange, returns as the head of the coven. Lange puts the new girls in their places, telling them: “The only thing you have to be afraid of is me,” followed by, “You girls need to learn how to fight. When witches don’t fight, we burn.”
There are few shows like American Horror Story. The seasonal anthology series starts and ends a whole new story-line each year. The show's self-contained seasons allow for a plethora of plot twists each year. The ensemble cast all play different characters in different settings, starting fresh each year. This also allows for fan favorite actors to be killed off without warning and revived the following October.
Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Even Peters, Emma Roberts And Sarah Palson help to round out the ensemble cast.
The show, credited by Glee and Nip/Tuck's Ryan Murphy, premiers its third season Oct 9, at 10 p.m. on FX. For those of you can't wait for "school," check out the new trailer.
