‘DWTS’ Nick Carter Explains Walking Away from TV Show?

It is already apparent the Nick Carter's appearance on Season 21 of Dancing with the Stars is breathing life back into the Backstreet Boy both personally and professionally. According to the latest gossip news updates, ironically Carter has been receiving invitations to appear on the show non-stop for about 5-years now but never made time for the TV show until now. It seems apparent the Nick's pro-partner Sharna Burgess is thanking her lucky stars that he has. In a recent blog post the talented Aussie confessed that she feels like she already has nothing left to teach the former boy band member, who she claims has already become her equal on the dance floor.

While it's clear from all his music videos that Nick Carter at least had some sort of concept of how to dance before he joined this year's Dancing with the Stars, his pro-partner Sharna Burgess is still absolutely blown away by how quickly the singer has already come along.

In her blog for the show yesterday, Sharna explained what is was like realizing on the dance floor that Nick had already become as smooth as Fred Astaire in the short time she has been training him (via HollywoodLife):

"Honestly that's truly what dance is for me -- being able to step outside myself and who I am, and doing something completely different.

"Nick did just that as well and really was my true dance partner tonight; he was not my celebrity partner, and he wasn't someone that I'm training for a competition.

"He became someone that was like my equal, and it felt awesome on the dance floor to enjoy that experience with him."

As well as things are going for Nick on Dancing with the Stars, he admits in a recent interview with E! News that if not for having a lull in his touring schedule, he probably would have passed on joining the show this go around just as he has done in the past:

"I was approached for like 4 to 5 years in a row.

"Unfortunately, and fortunately, I was on the road with the Backstreet Boys touring and doing album cycles, so now that I have some time, that we're in-between, I could take the advantage of doing it."

What do you think about Sharna's early endorsement of Nick Carter's talents?

Is the 35-year-old Backstreet Boy the clear frontrunner this year?

Or, could it be that Nick 's improving so much so early on sets him up to seem less impressive when the show gets closer to the finale?
