‘Arrow’ Season 4 Spoilers: Canceled ‘Constantine’, Stephen Amell & White Canary Love Triangle

Spoiler Alert: Arrow Season 4 is almost here and this is the season of resurrection. Not only is Sara Lance, (Mad Men’s Caity Lotz) coming back to life in time to join the Legends of Tomorrow, but John Constantine (Matt Ryan) will be coming back from cancellation to help her. Sara’s will appear in the first half the new season as she transitions into the White Canary. The show will explore once again, the love triangle between Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and the Lance sisters, Sara and Laurel (Katie Cassidy).

Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim recently spoke to TV Insider about how John Constantine will fit into the series:

"Each year on the show, we have added and expanded the mythology with different elements. In Season 2 we introduced the idea of superpowers, last year brought in the League of Assassins, and for Season 4, we always had a plan to introduce magic and mysticism. We were already swimming in those waters and that's why Constantine is this great organic little development."

John Constantine is being called in to help deal with the negative effect of bringing someone back to life after being dead as long as Sara was, as Guggenheim added:

"Unlike Thea, who wasn’t fully dead, the consequences of using the pit on someone as dead as Sara was creates some unforeseen difficulties...and John Constantine is uniquely suited to help our team deal with those."

Sara’s time on Arrow, leading up to her role on the Arrow/Flash spinoff, Legends of Tomorrow, will be put to good use.

Arrow executive producer Wendy Mericle recently spoke to TV Guide about wrapping up the Oliver, Sara, and Laurel love triangle:

"We're excited because the series started with the whole triangle of Oliver and Sara and Laurel. And with Sara coming back and then moving on to go on her own journey, we have the potential to change the dynamic there in a really positive way for Laurel. [We] kind of put the past to rest."
