With every Republican Presidential candidate who isn't named Trump is getting trounced in the polls, Chris Christie needs all the national attention he can get, but it's still doubtful that his brother Todd has really done him any favors. According to the latest gossip news updates, the New Jersey Governor's wealthy brother was among the cheaters caught up in the Ashley Madison website leak. While some folks are already arguing that the sex scandal is going to wind up being a disaster for Christie's 2016 campaign, it didn't stop the out of shape conservative from picking up some much needed political support from Iowa bigwig Bruce Rastetter.
While Chris Christie may be known both in and outside of New Jersey for his version of being brutally honest with people, it turns out that that kind of integrity apparently doesn't run in the family.
One source in the latest October 5, issue of In Touch explains that despite his pearly white martial record, Christie will more than likely wind up taking the hit for his brother's bad decisions:
"Todd had an affair with a woman he met on the site. They had sexual relations about a dozen times.
"Todd's a total narcissist...he thought he was going to get away with it.
"Chris shouldn't be guilty by association but Todd's actions will surely be associated with the Christie family's character. Todd knows that he'll probably lose his family -- and that it could cast Chris the Republican nomination."
It seems that the news of Todd's marital indiscretions didn't get in the way of his brother picking up Iowa agribusiness boss Bruce Rastetter polical endorsment tthis week, however.
Although much has been made of Christie's practically begging the midwest kingmaker for his Presidential endorsement after being courted by Rastetter back in 2012, the New Jersey Governor told the New York Times that he didn't care how the sausage was made, just as long as he still got to eat:
"I don't really care who chases who as long as we wind up getting married...And today's the ceremony."
