Jon and Kate Gosselin are doing terrible, since their marriage was officially dissolved back in 2009. Jon is living in a cabin with no TV and Kate just wrote a cookbook, that by all accounts, flopped. We’ve got the latest update on the washed up reality stars, including Kate’s lawsuit.
Of the two of them, Jon is doing the worse, by far. According to an interview he recently gave to Entertainment Weekly, he’s living in a cabin that has no TV or internet. For employment, Mr. Gosselin works as a waiter, where he is frequently recognized as “that guy from TV.”
To make matters worse, his ex-wife is suing him for hacking…which is pretty sad, considering he doesn’t even have the internet anymore. Kate’s attorneys explained the lawsuit, as NY Daily News explains:
“After the couple was separated, Jon illegally hacked into Kate’s email account and her phone and bank accounts. Jon also stole a hard drive from Kate’s house, which contained private and confidential material. Jon the gave them the contents of Kate’s email account and the hard drive, all of which were acquired illegality, to his friend and business partner, tabloid reporter Robert Hoffman.”
Kate isn’t immune from economic hardship either. Her new cooking book has terrible presales, which a source revealed to OK! Magazine was crushing to Kate:
“She needs the money. The kids are getting bigger, and she has no idea how she will pay for college--let alone the millions of other things that will need to be paid for. She feels that her ex-husband, Jon, is no help, and she thinks that she will have to do it all by herself.”
