While it looks like Ava Phillippe is almost uniquely poised to make it as a big name in Hollywood given the acting pedigree of her parents and her step-father's position at CAA talent agency, her mother is said to be deadset on putting the kibosh of her daughter's career for the time being. According to the latest gossip news updates, Reese Witherspoon and her husband, Jim Toth, are fighting night and day over whether or not Ava, 16, should be allowed to start acting. Word has it that if Toth doesn't stop pushing for Reese and Ryan's baby girl to get into acting the wife might split. If Reese and Jim do wind up breaking up, Reese can, of course, always move on the Kermit the Frog.
Most Hollywood parents don't seem to mind the kids getting in the game just as soon as they can find an agency to represent them, but Reese Witherspoon is said to be less the enthused that her daughter, Ava, is supposedly showing interest in acting.
One source in the latest October 5, issue of OK! Magazine claims that Reese has been butting heads with her husband, Jim Toth, who thinks that Ava is more than ready to make her acting debut:
"Ava has shown interest in acting, but Jim and Reese disagree about whether she is ready.
"Jim thinks she should go for it, but the Idea makes Reese nervous."
According to the insider, it's not that Reese isn't excited about her daughter becoming a famous leading lady someday, she just doesn't want Ava to have the same kind of overworked childhood that she had:
"Reese feels like she lost part of her childhood because she started acting so young.
"She wants Ava to enjoy her teen years."
If the tensions surrounding Ava's acting really does cause Reese and Tim to go their separate ways, Witherspoon can always go running into the arms of Kermit T. Frog.
Although, the puppeteer who controls Kermit, Steve Whitmire, joke with the Wall Street Journal that he doubted very seriously that Reese even knew of Kermit's longtime crush:
"I think the first time I did it, she popped into my head because something like 'Legally Blonde' had come out on DVD and I was aware of it.
"Then it expanded, because people would ask, 'Why her?' And I [as Kermit] would say, 'Well, I'm attracted to small, blonde mammals.'
"It's been Kermit's crush for a long time...I wonder if she's aware of it. She's probably not looking at Muppet wikis."
What do you think about Ava possibly getting into acting at the tender age of 16?
Is that too young to start working in any field?
Or, does it just make sense to let Ava get out their while she still has a solid in into the business?
