Ed Burns career is doing better than it has in years -- with the Brothers McMullen star pulling writing, directing and acting duties on his new TV show, Public Morales. According to the latest gossip news updates, Burns new found success has been disastrous to his 12-year marriage to supermodel Christy Turlington. Word has it that the 46-year-old mother-of-two is worried that they will soon be getting a divorce is her husband can't figure out a way to devote some more time to his family.
While Public Morals getting picked up by TNT is in many ways the best thing that has happened to Ed Burns in years, all the added work is said to be wreaking havoc on his marriage.
One source in the latest October 5, issue of Star magazine claims that Christy Turlington has a real problem with Ed's spending all his time working on the new show:
"It's been difficult because he is gone all day and comes home late at night. On the rare occasion that Ed is around, he's not spending time with Christy or the kids.
"He's too preoccupied reading scripts. Christy hopes they'll be able to work things out, because it's starting to feel like they're leading spate lives."
Making matters worse, Ed is said to be so consumed with work that he hasn't really even noticed how upset his wife is over his being absent.
An insider that spoke to OK! Magazine insists that for all Christy's objections Ed's is too caught up with his work to pay much attention to his failing marriage:
"She's happy for Ed's success, but she's scared that it's hurting their relationship, and Ed isn't picking up how serious she thinks the problem is."
What do you think about Ed's professional success supposedly ruining his longtime marriage?
Is that probably just more made-up tabloid nonsense?
Or, was it inevitable that Burn's relationship might feel a bit of a strain given how epic an undertaking Public Morals is for him?
