NASCAR's Danica Patrick and Trace Adkins Host 2013 'American Country Awards' on Fox

NASCAR star Danica Patrick will be co-hosting the upcoming American Country Awards. She will star alongside veteran host Trace Adkins.

The Godaddy driver is making the rounds in the world of country music. She first popped onto the country radar in Miranda Lambert's music video for her 2012 hit, "Fastest Girl in Town," followed by her appearance in Colt Ford's video, "Driving Around Song," earlier this year. Now she will be pairing up with country's own Trace Adkins, as the two co-host the American Country Awards in December.

The ACAs are country music's fourth major awards ceremony, after the CMAs, the ACMs and the CMT Music Awards. Unlike the other country award shows, the ACAs let the fans solely decide on who wins.

Despite being a newer convert to the world of country music, Patrick is very excited about the opportunity. The racer released a statement to the press saying:

“I’m so excited to host the American Country Awards with Trace Adkins. I have no doubt he’ll be able to keep up with me. I’ve become a huge fan of country music since I came to NASCAR and have been fortunate to be in videos with Miranda Lambert and Colt Ford. This is going to be a really cool experience and I’m excited to be a part of it. It’s going to be a great show!”

This isn't going to be Adkins' first time in the drivers seat. The Celebrity Apprentice winner has co-hosted the show every year since its inception. Trace's other co-host have been, 2010's Nancy O'Dell, and 2011-2012's, Broadway legend Kristin Chenoweth.

Where the 6ft 6 inch Adkins' hulking stature might seem a little off balance beside the 5ft 2inch tall Patrick, it's a huge step up from Chenoweth who only stands a mere 4ft 11inchs.

The 2013 ACAs will air Tuesday December 10, on Fox.
