One Direction Talks Break Up Over Solo Careers, Dating and Being Role Models [INTERVIEW]

Liam, Harry and all the boys of One Direction granted a sit-down interview with a major U.S. tabloid this week. During the interview, the group discussed whether or not the band would break up over solo careers, dating, and what it’s like to be perceived as a role model.

It’s been a good year for One Direction. The band has seen an unfathomable amount of ticket sales, released multiple hit-singles and just opened their first film. Not to mention, documentary great Morgan Spurlock directed the film.

The boys decided to take a break from singing and answer a few of OK! Magazine’s questions. The first question asked was whether or not the band would break up if a member decided to pursue a solo career.

Harry and Niall gave very different answers. Horan said that he would not be in the band forever, while Styles shot down the notion of solo careers, telling the magazine:

“We’re far too busy for us to have time to go off and do it. I think we’re very happy and we’re excited. We’re still loving it.”

The group was more in unison when asked whether or not they consider themselves role models. Liam Payne spoke on behalf of the band, when he said:

“We don’t like to think of ourselves like that, but I suppose we have to. It’s a responsibility. It’s quite nice to have that sort of power and be able to help out--raise a lot of money for charity.”

When it came to dating advice, Harry may have given the most succinct advice--don’t be late!

We want to know what you think about their answers. Are you bummed that Niall could be leaving? Tell us your thoughts in the comment field below.
