Last week the Mega Millions lottery game gave away a whopping $106 million. That is great news for the lucky winner, but bad news for people playing tonight. Check the report below for an update on the big winner as well as a look at tonight’s game.
Over the weekend, the Mega Millions lottery game gave away $106 million. The official Mega Millions lottery website is reporting on the massive win:
“An estimated $106 million jackpot ($65 million cash) was, perhaps fittingly, won in New York on Friday night, September 11. A single ticket matched all six numbers – the white balls 5, 11, 31, 50 and 67, plus the Mega Ball 14. The jackpot win is New York’s third Mega Millions jackpot win in 2015, following earlier wins on February 27 ($126 million) and March 24 ($58 million).
“Also in Friday night’s drawing, there was a $1 million Match 5 winning ticket sold in Michigan.
“The jackpot had been rolling since it was last won in Missouri on July 31. In this jackpot run up, there have been more than 13.5 million Mega Millions prizes won at all levels since July 31, including 12 prizes of $1 million or more.”
Friday’s big win means that tonight’s game has dropped down to a lowly $15 million. The estimated cash value option for tonight’s game is $9 million.
