He's Back! New reports are surfacing that Arnold Schwarzenegger will reunite with director James Cameron in his new movie, Avatar 2.
Latino Review is reporting that Arnold Schwarzenegger is up for a lead villain role in the sequel to the 2009 hit-film Avatar. The sequel is just one of three planed trips to Pandora, with one of them being a prequel.
Schwarzenegger is arguably most famous for his role in James Cameron's The Terminator series and is now widely rumored to be working for the famed director once again.
Earlier this year, Arnie himself hinted that the two would once again join forces on the big screen, telling MTV News:
"There are many different ways of cooperating and collaborating. Jim and I, for instance, are doing a Showtime series on the environment, a 12-parter with Jerry Weintraub. We're, all three, the producers. In order to really let the world know what to do to improve our environment and go in the right direction for a sustainable future, we're working on that. Movie-wise, he's tied up with his next two movies, but hopefully, there's something down the line when he's finished with that. I always look forward to working with him because Cameron is a very talented director. The great thing is there are so many new directors who are talented and great visionaries. ["Last Stand" director] Kim Jee-woon is one of them.''
The three Avatars are all reportedly shooting simultaneously, keeping James Cameron busy for quite some time. Arnold also has alot on his hands, starring in the upcoming films, Sabotage and The Expendables Three, both due out in 2014...as well as reprising his role in the upcoming Terminator 5.
Avatar 2 is scheduled to start filming next year for a 2016 release date. Let us know what you think about the long awaited reunion.
