I would seem that the supermarket tabloids can't decide if Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden are ready to announce that they are having a baby or getting a divorce. According to the latest gossip news updates, the 43-year-old Hollywood icon is furious at her husband's current relationship with ex-fiancée, Sophie Monk and isn't sure things are going to last. Of course, there are also rumors that Cameron is pregnant with The Voice Australia judge's twins, so it's hard to say.
While most fellas probably wouldn't have to wait for an angry Cameron Diaz to tell them that it's not cool to remain super-close to your former fiancée after you marry someone new, Benji Madden is said to have nearly sent his marriage into a tailspin by keeping his relationship with Sophie Monk a secret.
One source in the latest September 21, issue of Star magazine claims that Benji's friendship with Sophie includes quite a bit more than liking a few of her funny Facebook posts here and there:
"They have seen each other several times in the past month or two, and they talk and text all the time.
"It's like they have unfinished business. There's a real spark between them."
To makes matter worse, insists the informant, Cameron didn't find out about Madden's continuing to be so close with Sophie until she finally got curious about just who was blowing his phone up:
"She went nuts, especially when she learned that Sophie is very single for the moment.
"She feels betrayed and is really on edge about their relationship."
Although, Star's insider seems to think things are on the verge of falling apart, the behind-the-scenes spy that Life & Style spoke to insists that Cameron and Benji are closer than ever now that they have learned she's pregnant with his twins (via HollywoodLife):
"When they found out they were expecting twins, Benji and Cam were in shock, but completely overjoyed.
"Although she's just a few weeks in, Cameron is hoping her babies turn out to be a boy and a girl. She's excited to start shopping for the nursery."
It's true that the two differing tabloids stories don't necessarily have to be mutually exclusive, it seems safe to say that we can probably rest assured that we won't be hearing any kind of announcements out of Cameron Diaz or Benji Madden any time soon.
