Mel Gibson Girlfriend Rosalind Ross Save Reporter from Mad Max?

It turns out that just because Mel Gibson hasn't been in the news for another racist rant lately doesn't mean that Mad Max has mellowed. According to the latest gossip news updates, Gibson won't necessarily be facing any chargers following the heated exchange he reportedly had with Australian news photographer, Kristi Miller, but she insists that she didn't at all feel safe before Gibson's much younger girlfriend, Rosalind Ross, ended the altercation.

Sure, Mel Gibson may not be facing any charges related to his reportedly losing his cool on veteran photographer, Kristi Miller, but that doesn't mean she didn't genuinely fear that he was about to assault her had it not been for the intervention of his girlfriend, Rosalind Ross.

Shortly after the incident outside the Australian Israeli Film Festival in Sydney, Miller told the Daily Mail that the 59-year-old actor came at her like he was intent on doling out a proper beating:

"He was spitting in my face as he was yelling at me, calling me a dog, saying I'm not even a human being, and I will go to hell.

"He swore and called me a 'c*nt.' It was nonstop, he didn't even breathe.

"I thought he was going to punch me in the face."

While the New South Wales police department have made it clear that they have no intention of treating the incident as a criminal matter, Miller told the Daily Telegraph that she thought Gibson's actions were completely inappropriate (via NewsMax):

"I took a photo of Mel and his girlfriend and when I turned around he shoved my back really hard. It shocked me because I wasn't expecting it. I don't know if it was his hands or elbow.

"I don't want sympathy. I'm not injured but I do think that his behavior is appalling and I don't want to pull the female card but I am a female and I don't think a male should speak to a female that way."

What do you think about the police in Sydney not treating Gibson's confrontation as an assault?

Does he have the right to get a little shovey with photographers that impede on his date nights?

Or, should it be as legally unacceptable as it is socially reprehensible to hit a women in any way?
